Data practices
This is the plain-language version of how InventorySpread handles the data you share with us. The privacy policy is the formal version; both are kept in lockstep. The same data-request endpoint serves all three Northtide properties — one form, one delete, every pillar.
What we collect
- Newsletter listings — if you submit your newsletter via /list-newsletter we store the public details (name, niche, audience numbers, rate-card URL) plus your contact name and email. The public directory shows only the newsletter details; contact info stays private to our broker team.
- Advertiser inquiries — the budget, target niches, and campaign brief you send via /advertise.
- Deal records — once we open a brokered deal, the slot price, fee, and payout. This is bookkeeping; we never publish it.
- Scanner-discovered newsletter data — public rate-card pages we read for the directory’s audience numbers. This data is already public and is not tied to any private identity.
Consent — how it works for the marketplace
Submitting a listing or an inquiry IS the consent to store and use that submission for the brokered deal. We do not use marketplace inquiry data for anything else without re-asking.
A subsequent delete request through /data-request purges your self-listed newsletter rows, your ad-request rows, and any cross-pillar Northtide profile.
What we do NOT do
- We never sell or expose contact details from the listing form. The public directory shows only the newsletter name and audience numbers.
- We never publish individual deal details. The /admin/deals board is internal only.
- We never resell subscriber lists or advertiser emails. Period.
